Let's talk about plastic

We believe that just being recyclable is no longer enough. Our bottles are manufactured using 100% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) material, which is also fully recyclable. Although this comes at a significant cost implication, we simply do not wish to add to the amount of micro-plastics that are already in existence.

We also supply minature bottles for the hospitality industry. In 2018, we made the decision to use PCR material, because we believe it's the right thing to do.

We believe that the plastic issue is around the lack of recycling facilities. All plastic that isn’t recycled is single-use plastic, by definition. And it's not just plastic, all single-use items are a problem. Remember the adage - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - we're put our money where our mouth is and invest in the recycling industry by only using PCR plastic.

As of 23 September 2019 all of our inbound cardboard will be shredded onsite and is used for packaging material for our outbound orders. As a consequence of this we have reduced our use of other material to almost zero (e.g. shredded paper, bubble wrap, polystyrene chips).

All of our outbound outer cartons are made from recycled cardboard. All of our primary packaging is made from FSC approved card.
